The client commissioned two x four to design a modestly sized modern farmhouse. The house was designed based on a modular grid system. By introducing a central courtyard the design maximized the indoor-outdoor connection without compromising privacy or security.

The orientation of the home also maximized sunlight throughout the day year-round. Dormer windows were introduced to maximize natural light. The vaulted roof and ceiling, together with wood accents throughout the house, paid homage to the farmhouse style.
