The clients commissioned two x four to design a pool house which consisted of a gym, sauna, shower, changing room and an outdoor terrace with a kitchen and lounge area.

two x four approached this design in a minimalist manner pairing back all unnecessary objects and forms ensuring that every element had both functional and aesthetic needs. An example is the slatted cladding & structural members that framed the outdoor terrace space while providing privacy for the people within the sauna. These multifunctional cladding not only provided roof support and privacy, but also articulated the notable aesthetic character of the building.
